I've always enjoyed working with my hands—building, woodworking, solving problems, and turning ideas into something real. There's something rewarding about starting with an idea and creating something that's both functional and built to last.
In 2003, I began what would become a nearly 20-year career with the Florida Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. That career took me across Florida and the country, gave me opportunities to lead and teach others, and taught me the importance of integrity, hard work, preparation, problem-solving, and doing the job right.
As my career progressed, I continued my education, completed my Masters Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, and eventually moved into emergency management and local government leadership. While I was proud of that career, I realized how much I missed working with my hands and being able to step back at the end of the day and actually see what I'd accomplished.
With the support of my family, I decided to turn that passion for building and creating into something more. That decision eventually became Timber Tactics & Design LLC.
Today, I combine my background in service and leadership with my passion for craftsmanship to provide custom woodworking, built-ins, remodeling, and installations. I especially enjoy the projects that start with a customer showing me a picture or an empty space and saying, “I have an idea—can you build this?” Taking that idea, working through the details, and bringing it to life is one of the best parts of what I do.
Timber Tactics & Design is a small, owner-operated business, which means you're working directly with me from concept to completion. I believe in communicating clearly, respecting your home, paying attention to the details, and never putting my name on work I'm not proud of.
